Diversity Management Program

The American Association for Access, Equity, and Diversity Professional Development & Training Institute's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Management Program provides participants firsthand access to subject matter experts and industry colleagues to engage in dialogue.

Program Overview

Since the 1990s, Diversity Management has become a burgeoning practice and profession in the workplace. In addition to the equal opportunity, compliance, conciliation, and investigative responsibilities in the workplace, practitioners have been tasked with developing diversity and inclusion programs. The profession of Chief Diversity Officer has also emerged.

The Diversity Management Program includes two courses and an elective for higher education professionals:

  • Introduction to Diversity Management

  • Diversity Planning

  • Recruiting and Retaining Diverse Faculty (elective)

These courses will introduce professionals to the history, policies, and best practices of the diversity management profession in higher education, the private sector, and the government. The latter course will also assist practitioners in designing diversity management programs and plans.

Individuals who successfully complete these 8-hour courses will receive a certificate of completion in Diversity Management.

These courses also qualify for Sr. EEOP and EEOP recertification credits.
