Program Overview
The Equal Opportunity Professional (EOP) Certificate Program is a structured 30-hour virtual training that covers current laws, regulations, guidance, and practical applications to strengthen participants’ abilities across diverse workplace settings.

Outcome
Participants who complete all three required virtual modules and Capstone successfully receive the Equal Opportunity Professional (EOP) Certificate, demonstrating advanced competency in the EEO field and readiness for professional leadership.

Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis. Upon notification of acceptance into the program, you will receive a link to register for the modules and pay the fee.
Requirements
To receive the Equal opportunity Professional (EOP) certificate, participants must successfully complete each of the three virtual requisite modules (each 8 instructional hours + 2 hours of pre-work assignments per module) and a Capstone. All coursework must be completed within two years of the participant's initial module registration. Modules can be completed in any order.
The cost of each module is: $1,050.

Module
Mastering the Foundations: Your Pathway to Equal Opportunity Excellence This module prepares participants by covering the key EEO-related laws, how the EEO-related laws affect organizations and how to recognize EEO issues within the framework of the laws so that EEO and HR professionals can enhance EEO, identify and address issues of discrimination, and prevent organizational and personal liability in their workplaces. It is recommended you take this module before the Complaint Processing and Resolution Module.

Complaint Processing, Counseling and Resolution Module
From Inquiry to Resolution: Conducting Confident & Ethical EEO Investigations This module focuses on the essential skills required to manage EEO investigations from complaint intake through final resolution. Participants will learn how to receive and assess complaints, conduct thorough fact-finding and interviews, analyze evidence, maintain clear documentation, and prepare final reports with recommended resolutions.

Audit and Data Readiness Module
Are You Ready for a Civil Investigative Demand (CID)?: Compliance Audits & Data This module prepares participants to effectively navigate agency audits and compliance reviews by building strong data readiness practices. Participants will gain an understanding of audit processes, learn how to effectively collect and organize data, respond accurately to information requests, and support compliance reviews and reporting.

Capstone
Putting It All Together: EEO Capstone Project and Presentation The Capstone is the cornerstone experience of the EOP Certificate Program. It demonstrates the participant’s ability to integrate legal knowledge, investigative skill, and compliance strategies into a comprehensive application. Participants must complete either a 3-5 page paper, and/or executive summary (double-spaced) or practical applied project (e.g., an investigation report, policy assessment, or audit plan). Participants will present their Capstone to in-class participants, AAAED leadership, and a representative from their organization (ie supervisor, mentor, colleague) that they will invite to attend the presentation.
All three modules must be completed before turning in project and presentation.
