Description
CHIEF ENGAGEMENT OFFICERS (CEO) ROUNDTABLE: COHORT-BASED SERIES FOR HUMAN RESOURCE, EQUITY AND INCLUSION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICERS
Over the last several years, many colleges, universities, and organizations have established offices that focus on Organizational Climate, Equity and Inclusion, and Community Engagement headed by a high-level officer. These high-level officers are often given a broad mandate to improve equity, organizational climate and community engagement across the organization but often with limited staff and resources. The senior level officer is expected to “fix” climate issues, improve community engagement and address inequities, often without clear or full support from the organization’s leadership, integration into the strategic plan, or buy-in from key stakeholders.
Compounding these challenges are the high stakes. Mistakes are visible, costly and can often inflict more harm on a community. Without sufficient support, these challenges can reduce or stop efforts to create a welcoming environment for the organizations members to thrive. Enter our Chief Engagement Officer (CEO) roundtable which is designed to create a cohort of peers engaged in similar work to:
Share best practices and avoid pitfalls
Improve strategy and decision making
Bounce ideas off one another and brainstorm new approaches
Help CEOs stay current on trends, issues and events
Operationalize the work—take the theory and ideas and help put them into practice
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This group engagement is specifically designed for Chief Engagement Officers /CEOs from public and private institutions and organizations. We are specifically inviting those CEOs that have institution or organization-wide purview and responsibility for human resources, organizational climate, equity and inclusion, and community engagement efforts.
The roundtable will be the most beneficial to CEOs who have been in their roles 3 years or less.
